Earn Cash Back at Ivory Ella
In 2015, John Allen and five co-founders launched Ivory Ella as an online clothing store dedicated to wildlife conservation of elephants. Ivory Ella sells apparel and accessories while donating part of its proceeds to nonprofit organizations including Save the Elephants. Allen states that his business uses social media marketing channels such as Facebook to reach an estimated audience of 60 million primarily women aged 13-24.
Initial efforts of Ivory Ella focused on elephants; later however, its mission grew to encompass other wildlife and human rights causes. Aside from elephants, it now shares part of its profits from Save the Bees collection with Pollinator Partnership as well as working to raise awareness about ecosystems in danger.
Allen quickly saw his company expand. Their first order consisted of 7,000 long-sleeved T-shirts featuring elephant imagery; all sold out within 15 minutes! Allen and his team were left stunned yet inspired as they combined their expertise in marketing, fashion and social media to launch an apparel brand with a purpose.
Today, Ivory Ella employs over 40 staff and boasts a seasonal workforce of more than 100. Additionally, local students and staff intern at Ivory Ella. Donations have also been made to charitable causes such as Homes for Our Troops and American Heart Association as well as Spencer-Owen Community School’s student-run design and screen-printing business, Patriot Manufacturing.
