Velvet designers Jenny Graham and Toni Spencer established Velvet in 1997 with an aim to produce wardrobe classics evoking relaxed Los Angeles style. Utilizing luxurious fabric combinations and modern feminine fits, their covetable collections keep us coming back season after season.
Byrne was part of Finchley Catholic Grammar School band in north London, along with Nash and bass player Nigel Spencer (both would eventually go on to form Heavy Zebra). Though he did not possess professional recording experience, Nash took great interest in him due to his expertise with electronics. This enabled them to quickly refine their sound during nonstop rehearsal sessions.
Kiln House was Fleetwood Mac’s fourth album and saw Spencer replace Green as front man. His songs like the acoustic ballad “Sunny Sunday” moved them in a rock direction while Kirwan and McVie (who had stayed after Green left) contributed country-influenced tracks. Although commercially and critically successful, Fleetwood Mac’s fortunes began waning due to tumultuous personal relationships and financial troubles; Fleetwood Mac was eventually forced apart in 1979 with only three members remaining (minus Christine McVie). They reunited several times during that year when opening for Crosby Stills Nash or REO Speedwagon opening acts.
