Designer Nicole Miller grew up surrounded by fashion. From seeing couture dresses worn by her mother and sister to reading magazines with her sister about design and style, Nicole became increasingly fascinated with design. Inspired by these experiences, Nicole decided to follow her passion and become a dress designer herself.
Miller has become well known for her distinctive fashion sense that features bold colors or black in classically cut designs that combine both sexy and classic elements. Her creations have been worn by celebrities like Beyonce Knowles, Angelica Huston and LeAnn Rimes. Her designs draw their inspiration from contemporary art, cinema and 20th century cultures and architecture as well.
She established her namesake brand in 1982. Since then, the collection has expanded to include shoes, jewelry and home products. Additionally, she continues to push the limits of this iconic label with an emphasis on innovation and forward thinking.
Nicole remains grounded in her community despite her impressive business success, serving as an advisory board member of UPWARD DC and co-chairing their Auction Committee Auction for Lombardi Women Auction Committee Auction Committee Lombardi Women Auction Auction Committee Lombardi Women Auction Lombardi Women Auction Lombardi Women Mentor at DC’s Hendley Elementary School as well as being on Commercial Real Estate Women and being an Executive Committee Member for Savills Diversity Inclusion Group Executive Committee Executive Committee Diversity Inclusion Group Executive Committee respectively.
