Rachael Ray is an American cook, TV personality, businesswoman and author. She hosts her own daily talk show and the Food Network series 30 Minute Meals.
Rachael Domenica Ray was born on 25th August 1968 in Glen Falls, New York and has an extensive culinary background. After working at her family’s restaurants on Cape Cod for several years, she eventually secured a job at Macy’s New York City – initially behind the candy counter then as manager of their Fresh Foods section. Later she relocated upstate to manage pubs and restaurants at Sagamore Resort near Lake George, New York.
She rose to national chef fame in the 1990s after signing a contract with Food Network. She hosted various shows such as ’30 Minute Meals’, ‘$40 a Day’, ‘Inside Dish’ and ‘Tasty Travels’ among others.
Rachael Ray has achieved great success due to her popularity and ability to promote quick and simple recipes. Additionally, she founded the lifestyle magazine Every Day with Rachael Ray that bears her name.
Throughout her career, she has promoted and endorsed numerous products like ‘Nabisco’ crackers and ‘Dunkin’ Donuts coffee’. Additionally, she has dedicated herself to charity work by founding the non-profit organization ‘Yum-O!’ which aims to spark kids’ interest in cooking.
She has also penned numerous books, many of which were inspired by her 30 Minute Meals show. Additionally, she earned a Daytime Emmy Award for her efforts.
