How to get Advance Auto Parts cashback, step by step

  1. Open Fluz's Advance Auto Parts page and buy a gift card for the amount of your Advance Auto Parts order. The rate as we last read it was 15%. Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought.
  2. Pay for your Advance Auto Parts order with that gift card, the same way you'd use any Advance Auto Parts gift card.
  3. Buy only what you'll spend. The cashback is paid when you buy the card, and a card balance you never use is money parked at Advance Auto Parts, not savings.
  4. Get paid. Fluz pays by: Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. Minimum: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. Timing: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.

Does Advance Auto Parts have its own cashback or rewards program?

Yes, and if you still think of it as Speed Perks, that's the first thing to update. On February 2, 2026 Advance replaced Speed Perks with Advance Rewards: free to join, points on every dollar, three tiers named after gears, a $5 Reward for every 500 points, and Rewards you can stack up to $100 deep in the app. It's built for the person doing their own brakes on a Saturday, not for a shop, and the terms say so. The portals' Advance pages still describe the old program, so the numbers here come from Advance's own rewards page, its program terms and its launch announcement, with the portals' write-ups marked as theirs wherever they appear. Here's what's real.

  • Advance Rewards replaced Speed Perks on February 2, 2026. Advance's announcement: "The new program replaces the former Speed Perks program and rolls out today at all Advance locations and online." source. Its rewards page answers the question most members have first, what happened to the old coupons: "The coupon name has changed from Perks Bucks to Rewards, but redemption rules remain the same." source. Joining costs nothing, "There is no membership fee." source, and the page offers a sweetener for signing up, "Get $5 off $20 on your first purchase when you become a member." source, with an asterisk Advance never explains on that page.
  • The three gears: 5, 8 or 10 points a dollar, and what a point is worth. Advance's own tier list: "1st Gear : Free to join, auto-enrolled at sign-up. Earns 5 points per $1 spent." then "2nd Gear : Requires $500 in annual spend. Earns 8 points per $1 spent." then "Top Gear : Requires $1,000 in annual spend. Earns 10 points per $1 spent." source. The math is on the same page, "500 points = $5" and "1000 points = $10" source, so a $100 part earns a $5 Reward at 1st Gear and a $10 Reward at Top Gear. Rewards show up on their own: "We keep track of all points and will automatically issue your $5 Reward as soon as you reach 500 points. If you reach 1,000 points, you will receive $10 Rewards. Your Rewards will be uploaded to your account within 3 days of your qualifying transaction, and you will be notified via email." source. They don't keep: "Yes. All Rewards expire 90 days after they are issued." source, and the terms put it as "Regardless of the Member's tier, Rewards expire on the earlier of (i) 90 days from the date of issuance" source. Points behave differently by tier: "1st Gear members will lose unconverted points at the end of the calendar year." while "2nd Gear and Top Gear members will keep their status for the next calendar year and must re-qualify during that time. Unconverted points will roll over." source. The announcement's version of the tiers reads "1st Gear – free to join, earn 5 points per dollar spent, stack up to $100 in coupons", "2nd Gear – spend $500 in a calendar year, earn 8 points per dollar spent, stack up to $100 in coupons" and "Top Gear – spend $1,000 in a calendar year, earn 10 points per dollar spent, stack up to $100 in coupons" source.
  • Moving up a gear happens the day you cross the line. "Your status is achieved based on calendar year cumulative purchases. Whenever your maximum level is achieved, you remain at that level for the balance of the calendar year AND the next calendar year." source, with Advance's own worked example: "Example – Between January and March 17, 2026, you made $1,032 in purchases. As of March 18, you will be a Top Gear Member. You will enjoy Top Gear level benefits for the rest of 2026 and 2027." source. The terms agree the step-up is instant, "The benefits of the higher Tier are immediately available upon reaching the relevant spending threshold. Members are not notified, however, of Tier elevation for at least 30 days after reaching the relevant spending threshold." source, even though the tier block in the same terms words 2nd Gear's qualification as "Spend $500 in Qualifying Purchases during the immediately preceding calendar year (January-December)." source. Plan on the worked example; the FAQ and the determination clause both say the same thing and that one line doesn't. What counts toward the threshold leaves out the extras: "Qualifying Purchases are purchases that have been settled and fulfilled excluding: rental fees, warranties, factory direct orders, protection plans, shipping and handling, delivery, surcharges, sales and use tax, purchase of Advance Gift Cards or third-party Gift Cards, returns, purchases or transactions made with Advance Rewards, or other promotional items (such as free items)." source.
  • Who can join, and where it works. "This Program is only available to Do-It-Yourself customers of participating Advance Auto Parts or Carquest stores and our online store (shop.advanceautoparts.com); it is not available to customers with a commercial account or those enrolled in Advance Pro." source, for adults "located within the United States or Puerto Rico" source. Where: "All Advance Auto Parts stores in the United States and Puerto Rico participate in the Advance Rewards program. Most Carquest stores participate in the program and the list keeps expanding." source, and "You can redeem them in any store in the country or online. Also, you will earn points from purchases both in store and online." source. Forgot to give your number at the counter? "To the extent Member makes a purchase where the membership in the Program was not applied, Member can log receipt online or in the Advance app to receive points for such purchase." source.
  • What earns points, and what doesn't. Sale prices earn: "purchase of products and services qualify for Points regardless of whether regularly priced or marked as on sale or clearance." source. Four things don't: "Points are NOT granted for purchase of gift cards or payment associated with core deposits, rental of loan tools and factory direct orders." source. Bonus points come and go by category, "You will receive bonus points for popular product categories throughout the year." source, and a return takes its points back: "When you return a purchase, the points you earned for the purchase will be deducted from your Advance Rewards point balance." source, which can leave you below zero, "If the number of points subtracted due to the returned product exceeds your existing point balance, then you will see a negative balance." source. A Reward already issued survives the return: "Any Rewards earned are NOT affected, these rewards are yours to use as outlined." source.
  • Spending a Reward. "Rewards can be redeemed on purchases $0.01 over the coupon amount. You can use your Rewards on most products in store or online at Advance Auto Parts. Excluded products and services include factory direct orders, special orders, core deposits, gift cards, rental of loaner tools, shipping and handling, taxes or other government fees or charges." source. Online it rides on your login rather than a code you type: Advance's coupon terms say that to use a member reward online "you must sign in to your account, or create a new account during checkout, and place an order online at" its site, and that "Orders must be placed for home delivery or in store pickup. Motor oil and other selected products are available for in store pick-up only." source. On stacking, the FAQ says two things in a row, "All members can combine up to $100 in Rewards in our mobile app. Only one Reward can be used per transaction." source; the terms say "Coupon Rewards may be combined subject to the Member's tier above." source, and the announcement names the two places it happens, "Members can gain visibility into their rewards and can combine coupons directly in the Advance mobile app and through POS integration in Advance stores." source. Plan on stacking in the app and one Reward in a browser checkout. A paper coupon won't ride with a Reward either way: "Coupon may not be combined with a Advance Rewards member reward." source. Return something you'd used a Reward on and it's Advance's call: "With respect to coupons redeemed on a purchase that is later returned, Advance may, in its sole discretion, reissue the coupon." source.
  • Advance's own coupon rules, which are stricter than any portal's. From the coupon terms, "Last Updated: July 2026" source: "Online Promotion Codes are valid only on orders online at advanceautoparts.com" and "Promotion Codes are not available in store. Promotional Codes are limited to one per customer and are for single use only." source. Sale items are out: "Promotional Codes apply to regular-priced merchandise only; sale and clearance items are not eligible. Maximum savings discount is $50." source. The mirror rule holds in the store, "In Store Coupons are not available for online purchases." source. Both kinds skip "Gift Cards", "Hot Items" and "Special Offers" including "Buy One–Get One, 2-For-1" and "Oil Change Specials" source, skip whole categories, "commercial tools and equipment, motor oil, batteries" and "battery accessories" source, and skip a brand list that includes "Edelbrock", "Flowmaster", "Holley", "Magnaflow", "PowerStop" and "Weathertech" source. So the oil change you came for and the battery you need are the two things an Advance code never touches. Rebates come back as store money: "Mail-in rebates are rewarded with an Advance Auto Parts gift card unless otherwise stated." source.
  • The military discount is at the register, not online. Advance's help desk: "Advance Auto Parts is proud to offer 10% off regularly priced items for in-store purchases to customers who serve or have served our country's Armed Services." source. Who qualifies: "All active-duty, reserve, and retired status members of our Armed Services" with the caveat "Note: ONLY retired veterans with 20 years or more of service are eligible.", plus "All veterans receiving VA benefits" and "Immediate family members of the above-mentioned service members" source. The limits: "Cannot be used for Advanceautoparts.com purchases, previous sales, sale items or gift card purchases" and "Cannot be combined with coupons or special offers" source. The article carries a 2024 footer and no date of its own. We found no senior discount on any Advance page we read.
  • Shipping, pickup and delivery. "Receive free standard shipping on orders over $35 to addresses in the continental United States." source, "Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii or U.S. Territories are not eligible for Free Shipping offer." source, and the heavy stuff stays local, "Lead acid batteries are available for in store pick up only, due to shipping restrictions." source. The faster routes: "BUY ONLINE, PICKUP IN STORE IN 30 MINUTES." source for in-stock items, curbside where you "Park, call store and your items will be brought to your vehicle." source, and "Home delivery in 3 hours for most in-stock products. Rolling out to new areas regularly." source if you "order before 4pm local time (2pm on Sundays)" source. A pickup order waits a week for you: "You will have 7 days from the date your order was placed to pick up your items in store." source. Advance's app listing sums it up as "Choose Same Day Pickup, Curbside Pickup, or Free Next Day Delivery on eligible orders." source. Rakuten's shipping line agrees on the threshold, "Advance Auto Parts offers free shipping on orders of $35 or more (excludes Alaska and Hawaii)." source, and so does TopCashback's, "Get free standard shipping with a minimum spend of $35 when you shop Advance Auto Parts." source.
  • How you pay, and no store card on any page we read. Advance's app listing: "Easy Checkout: Securely pay with credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or gift card." source. Gift cards have two limits of their own, "Customers are limited to one gift card per online order." and "Currently, gift card payments are not accepted on the mobile app." source. No Advance-branded consumer credit card appears on Advance's rewards, coupon, gift card, shipping or returns pages, on its site terms, or on the three portals' Advance pages; the card terms mention only "payment on any charge account" source, the commercial kind. Any rewards card of your own earns on the same order a portal click pays on.
  • Free services at the store. "Free engine code scanning on most OBD II vehicles." source, batteries with "FREE testing, installation, and registration with purchase, plus automotive and marine battery charging." source, "Free front and rear wiper installation with purchase." source, loaner tools where you "leave a deposit covering the tool's price" and "Keep the tool kit for up to 45 days and return it when you're done for a hassle-free, full refund." source, and "Get up to a $10 Advance Auto Parts gift card for your old automotive battery." source, all under the footnote "*In-store services may vary by vehicle and location." source. The battery page adds that the install is "free with in store or online battery purchases for most vehicles, at most locations and includes FREE battery registration if required." source. These happen at the counter, so they never touch a portal click either way.
  • What the portals still say about Speed Perks, and why it's out of date. Rakuten's tip is headed "Become a Speed Perks Member" and promises "Get $5 off your next order over $20 when you spend $30 or more; get $20 off your next purchase over $50 when you spend more than $100. Speed Perks can be used online and in-store." source. TopCashback's section, "Speed Perks Rewards Program", describes a different program again: "Join the Speed Perks Rewards program and receive $5 off your first $20 purchase when you become a member." then "Club members earn 10 points for every dollar spent. The points reset at the end of the year." with VIP at "$200 within a calendar year" and ELITE at "a minimum of $500 within a calendar year" source. Neither matches the other, and neither is the program on Advance's page today. The one Speed Perks detail worth keeping is the checkout field Rakuten's FAQ describes, "Enter Your Promo and Speed Perks Code." source, because it tells you rewards and promo codes shared a box online, and that box is what the portals' coupon rules are written about.
  • The welcome coupon and the referral, as Rakuten tells it. Rakuten's write-up says "When you activate your email subscription with Advance Auto Parts, you’ll get a coupon for 25% off your next online order, with a maximum savings of $50." source, and on referrals, "When you refer your friends and family, they’ll get $30 off their first order of more than $80." plus "you’ll receive a $10 gift card with every qualified referral." source. Neither appears on the Advance pages we read, and the $50 ceiling is the same one Advance's coupon terms put on every online code, so treat them as things to look for at sign-up rather than promises. If the welcome coupon is real, it's an online promotion code, with every rule in the coupon bullet above attached, and it's exactly what Rakuten and TopCashback mean by a code that isn't on their page.
  • Price match, per TopCashback only. TopCashback's write-up: "Advance Auto Parts will match the price for identical products offered by most competitors' stores or websites. Only regular-priced merchandise qualifies for the Price Match Guarantee." source. None of the Advance pages we read (rewards, coupon terms, shipping, pickup, returns, the help desk) states a price match policy, so that's TopCashback's account and nothing more.
  • Where Advance's own pages disagree with each other. The gift card: the card terms say it's good "online at AdvanceAutoParts.com, or through the Advance Auto Parts mobile app." source, while the gift card FAQ says "Currently, gift card payments are not accepted on the mobile app. Advance Auto Parts will inform customers if this changes." source; plan on the website or the store. The store count: the announcement's "As of October 4, 2025, Advance operated 4,297 stores primarily within the United States" source against the shipping page's "one of our over 4,500 Advance Auto Parts stores" source and the app listing's "over 4,000 Advance Auto Parts® and Carquest® locations across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands" source. Rakuten's "nearly 5,000 stores across the United States" source is higher than any of Advance's own numbers. And the tier qualification wording, covered above. None of these change what you earn; they're flagged so a line that contradicts this page doesn't make you doubt the rest of it.

Put together: Advance pays its members in points, $5 Rewards and category bonus points, and all of it comes from your account rather than from a code, so it sits fine next to a portal click. The Rewards are the part to think about, because a Reward is a coupon, Advance redeems it online through your login, and two of the three portals only want their own codes at checkout. Gift cards are the other line: Rakuten rules them out entirely, Advance takes only one per online order and none in the app, and the Fluz card is in-store only by Fluz's own spec.

What Advance Auto Parts cashback stacks with

The short version: of the three portals whose Advance Auto Parts terms this page quotes, each excludes one thing and it's a different thing at each. Rakuten rules out gift cards, bought or spent. TopCashback rules out coupon codes that aren't on its page. Price.com rules out one specific code, 180. Sale prices, Monthly Flyer deals, oil change specials and Advance Rewards points all stack, because none of them is a code. Spending a Reward is the untested row: it's a coupon, and no portal's terms say whether an earned one counts as an outside code. The Fluz card is an either/or at Rakuten and, by Fluz's own spec, an in-store card anyway.

LayerStacks with portal cashback?Notes
Sale prices, Monthly Flyer deals, Oil Change Specials, Build Your BundleYesTopCashback pays on "the item(s) price" source, and a sale price is a price. Its write-up names one of the ways Advance discounts: "The 'Build Your Bundle' promotion lets you choose a qualifying 5-quart jug of oil and oil filter for one low price." source. Rakuten's and Price.com's Advance terms don't mention sales source source. Advance's own points treat a sale the same, "regardless of whether regularly priced or marked as on sale or clearance." source. Expect cashback on the price you paid, never the list price.
Advance Rewards points, including bonus pointsYesPoints accrue to your account for the dollars you spend, "Earns 5 points per $1 spent." at 1st Gear source, whether or not a portal opened the session. None of the three portals' Advance terms names the program source source source. Earning is the safe half; spending is the next row.
Spending a Reward ($5 per 500 points)Not named by Rakuten, TopCashback or Price.com; treat it as untested rather than safeRakuten voids cashback for "coupon codes that are not listed on Rakuten" source and TopCashback for "a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback" source. Both rules are about coupon-site codes, and a Reward you earned isn't one; Advance applies it online through your login, "you must sign in to your account, or create a new account during checkout" source, and no portal's terms say which way an earned coupon falls. Advance's FAQ adds "Only one Reward can be used per transaction." right after its app-stacking line source, which reads as one Reward anywhere but the app. If the cashback matters more than the Reward on this order, spend the Reward on a separate order in the app or at the store, where Advance says Rewards combine anyway.
Promo codes, including the email welcome couponRakuten and TopCashback: only codes from their pages. Price.com: code 180 is out, other codes not namedRakuten: "Using coupon codes that are not listed on Rakuten may void Cash Back. To be safe, stick to codes provided by Rakuten." source. TopCashback excludes "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source and warns in its editorial that "unless the Advance Auto Parts promo code is listed here, it might not be eligible for Cash Back." source. Price.com: "Orders using promo code 180 are not eligible for Cash Back." source, with "Coupons optional." above its button source. Advance's own rules cap any code before a portal gets a say: "Promotional Codes are limited to one per customer and are for single use only." and "Maximum savings discount is $50." source. The 25% email coupon Rakuten describes source is an Advance code, not a Rakuten one, so on a Rakuten or TopCashback click it's the risky kind.
Free shipping over $35, 30-minute pickup, curbside, same-day deliveryYesHow the order reaches you doesn't change what the portal tracked. Advance's shipping page: "Receive free standard shipping on orders over $35 to addresses in the continental United States." source, and its pickup page: "BUY ONLINE, PICKUP IN STORE IN 30 MINUTES." source. A shipping fee under $35 wouldn't have earned anyway: TopCashback "does not include taxes, shipping or other fees" source.
The military discountNot named by any of the three; it's an in-store discount anywayAdvance's help desk limits it to "in-store purchases" and says it "Cannot be used for Advanceautoparts.com purchases, previous sales, sale items or gift card purchases" source. A register discount and an online click never meet, so the question doesn't come up.
Price matchNot named by any of the threeTopCashback's write-up says "Only regular-priced merchandise qualifies for the Price Match Guarantee." source. A matched price is a lower item price, and TopCashback pays on "the item(s) price" source, so expect the tracked amount to be the matched price. Advance's own pages we read don't state the policy.
PayPal and Apple PayNot named by any of the threeAdvance takes both, "Securely pay with credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or gift card." source. The portals' Advance terms say nothing about wallets source source source. The pillar guide covers how a card's own rewards ride along.
Gift cards, including the Fluz cardNo at Rakuten, for buying one and for paying with one. Not named by TopCashback or Price.comRakuten: "Cash Back is not available on the purchase or redemption of gift cards." source. TopCashback's Advance exclusions list only the coupon-code line source, and Price.com's only code 180 source; silence isn't a yes, so treat a gift card through those two as untested rather than safe. Advance allows "one gift card per online order." source. Fluz sells the card as "in-store only" source, which makes the question moot for a Fluz card: an in-store swipe and an online click never meet. Advance's own gift card FAQ says the cards work "on our website and at any Advance Auto Parts or Carquest Auto Parts location." source; the exclusions section below has both sides.
The Advance appNo for the click; yes for the points and for stacking Rewards; no for a gift cardA portal tracks a browser session, and Price.com's steps say "Complete your purchase in the Advance Auto Parts tab." source. The app is where Advance says Rewards combine, "All members can combine up to $100 in Rewards in our mobile app." source, and where "app-only discounts, coupons, and promotions" live source. It's also the one place a gift card doesn't work, "Currently, gift card payments are not accepted on the mobile app." source.
A second portalNeverOnly one tracking click gets credit, and TopCashback makes a double attempt fail outright: "To be eligible for Cash Back on all products, you must begin your purchase with an empty shopping cart." source. The pillar guide explains why the last click wins.

Advance Auto Parts cashback exclusions and what breaks tracking

The portals' Advance Auto Parts exclusions are one line each, and each portal picked a different line: Rakuten's is gift cards, TopCashback's is outside coupon codes, Price.com's is promo code 180. No brand list, no category table, and TopCashback's rate card is a single "Online Purchase" row source; the live table above shows the current numbers. The long rules at this store are Advance's own, and they govern coupons, Rewards and returns, not cashback: a battery or a jug of motor oil can't take an Advance code, but a portal click pays on it like anything else.

  • Rakuten's exclusions and terms. Exclusions: "Cash Back is not available on the purchase or redemption of gift cards." source. Special terms: "Using coupon codes that are not listed on Rakuten may void Cash Back. To be safe, stick to codes provided by Rakuten." source. Posting: "Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account within one week." source, and payment on Rakuten's usual schedule, "Get paid via PayPal or check as soon as 15 days of your first purchase. Then get paid quarterly." source. Its shipping line is "Advance Auto Parts offers free shipping on orders of $35 or more (excludes Alaska and Hawaii)." source. The page carries no last-edited date.
  • Where Rakuten's editorial is out of date. Its "Become a Speed Perks Member" tip source describes a program Advance replaced on February 2, 2026 source, and its coupon FAQ still names the "Speed Perks Code" field source. Its store count, "nearly 5,000 stores across the United States" source, is above every number Advance prints itself. On sales it's safe enough: "Advance Auto Parts regularly has sales" source, and "It’s very common for Advance Auto Parts to offer first-order discounts." source. Its FAQ's free service line still holds: "you can stop by a local Advance Auto Parts store to get free engine code scanning for most vehicles that use OBD-II." source.
  • TopCashback's gate and terms. Exclusion: "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source. Terms: "Cash Back is calculated only on the item(s) price and does not include taxes, shipping or other fees." "Cash Back earned cannot exceed the total purchase amount." "To be eligible for Cash Back on all products, you must begin your purchase with an empty shopping cart." "Should your Cash Back fail to track automatically, please submit a Missing Cash Back Claim within 100 days of your order." source. The editorial repeats the cart rule in plain words, "Just make sure your online shopping cart is empty before you shop." source. The page opens with a browser warning: "With this Safari browser, we cannot guarantee that your Cash Back will track for this retailer. Please use an alternative browser on your device (e.g. Chrome) to get Cash Back." source. On timing: "Your Cash Back appears in your account within 7 days of your purchase" source. Its Speed Perks section, with its "Club Level", "VIP Level" and "ELITE Level" tiers and the line "ELITE members can stack up to $20 in Perks Bucks rewards when redeeming via the Advance Auto Parts mobile app." source, describes the program Advance retired; the current stack is "up to $100 in Rewards in our mobile app" at every tier source. Its editorial closes with "All information, deals and offers mentioned within this content are correct at the time of writing." source and carries no date.
  • Price.com. One exclusion line: "Orders using promo code 180 are not eligible for Cash Back." source. No per-order cap is listed. Timing: "Purchases will typically show in your wallet as pending in 1 day." and "Cash Back will be added to your wallet in approximately 90 days." source. Its steps: "Click “Activate Cash Back” to start tracking." then "Complete your purchase in the Advance Auto Parts tab." source. Its FAQ's return summary, "Most new, unopened, and uninstalled items in their original packaging can be returned within 45 days of purchase with a receipt. Opened electrical components, custom products, and final sale items are typically non-returnable." source, matches Advance's own policy below.
  • Fluz's card limits. Cards run "from $10–$500" and by Fluz's spec are "in-store only" source; the spec block repeats it, Redeemable "In-store", with "Non-refundable", "Does not expire", "Reloadable" and "United States only" source. Fluz's own description reaches further than its spec, "ready to redeem instantly at more than 5,200 locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands." source, while the spec says "United States only" source and the card's printed terms name stores "in the United States and Puerto Rico" source; plan on the narrower one. A return goes back to a card: "When you make a return, the funds will be refunded to a gift card with that merchant." source. "No. Fluz does not charge any fees to purchase a gift card." source. At the register: "Let the cashier know that you are paying with a gift card." then "Show your gift card details." source. Balance by phone: "Call 1-877-238-2623" source. Remember: this route and a Rakuten click don't combine.
  • Advance's gift card rules, which the Fluz route inherits. The terms Fluz prints are Advance's own, and they're broader than Fluz's spec: "This card is good toward the purchase of merchandise at any Advance Auto Parts/Carquest store in the United States and Puerto Rico, online at AdvanceAutoParts.com, or through the Advance Auto Parts mobile app." source. Advance's site terms carry the same card terms, opening with "Use, refill or acceptance" source, which is why Fluz's spec can say "Reloadable" source; Advance's gift card FAQ puts the reload at "an amount between $5 - $500" in a store source. Fluz's page says "in-store only" source; Advance says "Gift cards can be used on our website and at any Advance Auto Parts or Carquest Auto Parts location." source but "Currently, gift card payments are not accepted on the mobile app." source, and only "one gift card per online order." source. We can't tell you which wins for a Fluz-issued card, so plan on the store and treat the website as a bonus if it works. What it can't buy: "It is not valid for the purchase of gift cards, tool rentals, or payment on any charge account, and may not be applied to previous purchases or returns." source. "Not redeemable for cash except as required by law. No expiration dates or fees." source. Lose it and it's gone: "Safeguard this card; it will not be replaced or replenished if lost, stolen, or damaged." source. A refund on a card-paid order goes back to the card: "If you need to make a return on an item purchased with a gift card, the refund amount will be added back to the original gift card." source. Buying one earns no points, "Points are NOT granted for purchase of gift cards" source, and it isn't a qualifying purchase for a code either, since codes exclude "Gift Cards" source.
  • What Advance's own discounts don't cover. An online code can't touch "sale and clearance items" or save more than "$50" source, can't be used on "motor oil, batteries" source, and only works online, "Promotion Codes are not available in store." source. A Reward can't pay for "factory direct orders, special orders, core deposits, gift cards, rental of loaner tools, shipping and handling, taxes or other government fees or charges." source, and a Reward and an in-store coupon don't combine, "Coupon may not be combined with a Advance Rewards member reward." source. The military discount is "Personal and in store DIY purchases only" and "Cannot be combined with coupons or special offers" source. Free shipping stops at the state line for two states and the territories, "Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii or U.S. Territories are not eligible for Free Shipping offer." source, and a lead-acid battery never ships at all source. Holiday codes are mostly online, per TopCashback: "Advance Auto Parts frequently releases new promo codes around major holidays like Black Friday and Christmas, and most are online only." source.
  • Returns and timing. Advance's window: "Online purchases can be returned to any Advance Auto Parts store within 45 days from the date of purchase as NEW, which means the item must be in its original condition and packaging, unopened and uninstalled, including all original materials supplied with the item." source. The money goes back the way it came, "Your refund will be credited back to you using the same payment method you used for your original order." source, minus shipping, "Shipping and handling charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our error." source. No receipt, store credit: "If you return an item without proof of purchase, you will receive an Advance Auto Parts merchandise gift card at the lowest selling price of the item in the last 45 days." source. The exceptions are the ones that bite at a parts store: "Some merchandise, including opened gaskets and electrical/electronic goods, are not returnable" source, and the help desk's non-returnable list runs from "Batteries" and "Carburetors" through "Fuel Pumps", "Ignition Coils", "Oxygen Sensors", "Relays" and "TPMS Sensors & Kits" source. "Certain Special Order, Commercial Tools and Equipment are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee when returned." source, and "Returns and exchanges may be limited at any time for any reason." source. A return also pulls back the points it earned source. The portals wait out the window: TopCashback's page says "any items that are returned will disqualify your Cash Back" source, and Price.com's "approximately 90 days" source runs well past Advance's 45. A Fluz-paid return comes back "to a gift card with that merchant" source.

What breaks tracking at any store, Advance Auto Parts included (the pillar guide has the portals' own wording on each):

  • A second coupon or cashback extension that fires after the one you're earning with, so its click is the last one Advance sees.
  • Starting on one device and finishing on another, including clicking through on a laptop and buying in the Advance app. The click has to happen where the checkout happens.
  • Ad blockers, cookie blocking, and on TopCashback's own warning, Safari.
  • Items already in the cart before the click. TopCashback states the empty-cart rule outright on its Advance Auto Parts page.
  • Buying or paying with a gift card, at Rakuten.
  • A promo code from somewhere other than the portal's own page, at Rakuten and TopCashback, and code 180 at Price.com.
  • A return, an exchange or a cancellation, which reverses the commission the cashback was going to be paid from.

Advance Auto Parts cashback FAQ

Which portal pays the most for Advance Auto Parts cashback right now?

Fluz, at 15%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.

How long does Advance Auto Parts cashback take to pay out?

On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Advance Auto Parts, which mostly tracks Advance Auto Parts's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Advance Auto Parts's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.

Is there a minimum payout?

Does Advance Auto Parts cashback work in the app or in a store?

The portal click doesn't; Advance Rewards and the Fluz card do. A portal tracks a browser session, and Price.com's own steps say to finish in the tab it opened, "Complete your purchase in the Advance Auto Parts tab." source, while TopCashback needs "an empty shopping cart" in the session it tracks source. Store pickup on an online order keeps the click, and Advance's pickup page promises "BUY ONLINE, PICKUP IN STORE IN 30 MINUTES." source. Advance Rewards works everywhere, "You can redeem them in any store in the country or online. Also, you will earn points from purchases both in store and online." source, and the app is where Rewards combine source. The Fluz card is a payment, not a click, and by Fluz's spec an in-store one: "Let the cashier know that you are paying with a gift card." source. Don't try it in the app; Advance's own FAQ says "Currently, gift card payments are not accepted on the mobile app." source.

Do Advance Rewards points stack with portal cashback?

Earning them, yes. The points come from your membership, "Earns 5 points per $1 spent." at the free tier source, and the cashback comes from the click that opened the session; nothing in Rakuten's, TopCashback's or Price.com's Advance terms names the program source source source. Spending the Reward those points become is the open question: Advance applies it online through your login source, Rakuten and TopCashback only want their own codes at checkout source source, and neither says whether an earned coupon counts. Treat it as untested rather than safe, and if the cashback is the bigger number on this order, save the Reward for the app or the counter. It keeps for 90 days, "All Rewards expire 90 days after they are issued." source, so there's time.

Can I use an Advance Auto Parts promo code and still get cashback?

At Rakuten and TopCashback, only a code from their own page. Rakuten warns that outside codes "may void Cash Back" source and TopCashback excludes "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source. Price.com's Advance terms name one code to avoid, "promo code 180" source, and are silent on the rest. Before you hunt for one, read Advance's own limits: a code is "limited to one per customer" and good for "regular-priced merchandise only", with "Maximum savings discount is $50." source, and it skips "motor oil, batteries" source outright. The email welcome coupon Rakuten describes, "25% off your next online order, with a maximum savings of $50" source, comes from Advance, not from a portal, so on a Rakuten or TopCashback click it's the kind that may void the cashback; on an order where it applies, the coupon is usually worth more than the click, and it's fine to take the coupon and skip the portal for that one.

Can I use a Fluz gift card and still get portal cashback?

Not through Rakuten, and for a Fluz card the question mostly answers itself. Rakuten excludes "the purchase or redemption of gift cards" source; TopCashback's and Price.com's Advance terms don't mention gift cards at all source source, which is silence, not permission, so treat it as untested rather than safe. Fluz sells the Advance card as "in-store only" source, and a card you spend at the counter never meets a portal click. Advance's own FAQ says its cards work "on our website" source, so it may work online; if it does, you're limited to "one gift card per online order." source, and you're picking between the Fluz cashback on the card and the portal cashback on the click, and the live table above has both numbers.

Does Advance Auto Parts have a military discount, and does it stack?

Yes, in the store only. Advance's help desk: "Advance Auto Parts is proud to offer 10% off regularly priced items for in-store purchases to customers who serve or have served our country's Armed Services." source. It covers active, reserve and retired members, "All veterans receiving VA benefits" and "Immediate family members of the above-mentioned service members", with one narrow line, "Note: ONLY retired veterans with 20 years or more of service are eligible." source. Bring a "U.S. Uniformed Services ID card", "Common Access Card (CAC)" or "Veteran Identification Card (VIC)" source. It doesn't stack with a portal click because it can't happen in the same place: "Cannot be used for Advanceautoparts.com purchases, previous sales, sale items or gift card purchases" source. It doesn't stack with Advance's own coupons either, "Cannot be combined with coupons or special offers" source. Nothing in the program terms excludes a military-discounted purchase from earning points, since they count "purchases that have been settled and fulfilled" less a fixed list source, so expect points on what you pay; the help desk article doesn't say either way.

What happened to Speed Perks?

Advance retired it on February 2, 2026: "The new program replaces the former Speed Perks program and rolls out today at all Advance locations and online." source. The coupons kept their rules and changed their name, "The coupon name has changed from Perks Bucks to Rewards, but redemption rules remain the same." source. Its replacement, Advance Rewards, keeps "a familiar, tiered structure" source: 1st Gear free at 5 points a dollar, 2nd Gear at 8 after $500 in a calendar year, Top Gear at 10 after $1,000, a $5 Reward at "500 points = $5" source, and a 90-day clock on every Reward. Whether old Speed Perks points carried over isn't stated on the rewards page we read; the app and the online dashboard are the quickest place to see your own balance. Rakuten's and TopCashback's pages still describe Speed Perks source source, so don't plan around what they say about tiers.

Is there a minimum order for Advance Auto Parts cashback?

None of the three portals' Advance pages states one, and Price.com lists no per-order cap either source. TopCashback pays on "the item(s) price" only, never "taxes, shipping or other fees" source, and a Fluz card starts at "$10" source. The thresholds that exist are Advance's: free standard shipping "on orders over $35 to addresses in the continental United States." source, and a Reward that needs a purchase "$0.01 over the coupon amount." source. Under $35, pickup at the store is free and keeps the click, per the first question above, and Advance's same-day page puts it as "Free in store pickup in 30 minutes for most in-stock products." source.
