Amazon Cashback: Every Portal's Rate, Compared
The best Amazon cashback we found is 3% at Fluz, read from Fluz's own Amazon page.
Amazon cash back rates by portal
Every rate below was read from that portal's own Amazon page, and every row shows when we last looked. Where a rate has a catch, the catch is printed next to the number rather than underneath it.

How to get Amazon cashback, step by step
- Open Fluz's Amazon page and buy a gift card for the amount of your Amazon order. The rate as we last read it was 3%. Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought.
- Pay for your Amazon order with that gift card, the same way you'd use any Amazon gift card.
- Buy only what you'll spend. The cashback is paid when you buy the card, and a card balance you never use is money parked at Amazon, not savings.
- Get paid. Fluz pays by: Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. Minimum: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. Timing: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.
Getting paid, portal by portal
Each portal's own help pages, as written there. The source link on each row goes to the page it came from. These are the portal's terms, not Amazon's.
| Portal | Paid by | Minimum | Confirmation window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fluzsource | Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. | $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. | Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought. |

Lolli holds the bitcoin in a custodial wallet until you withdraw it. | $15 in available balance. | Rewards become available once each retailer's confirmation period has passed, typically 90 days after the purchase or completed travel reservation. It can take up to 90 days. |

A confirmed balance of $5.00 or more can also be redeemed as a gift card within minutes. | $5.01 in confirmed cash back before the payment date; $5.00 or less carries over to the next one. | 3 to 14 weeks for online and in-store purchases; 45 to 120 days for travel. |
| BeFrugalsource | Check, PayPal, direct deposit, Venmo, Zelle or an eGift card. Check and direct deposit are US only. | $0.01 for PayPal or direct deposit; $25 for a check. | Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. It's redeemed at checkout on Raise toward any gift card or other product Raise sells, and Raise's catalogue includes a Prepaid Mastercard. Raise doesn't offer cash distribution, bank transfers or PayPal transfers. | None to redeem; Raise applies it at your next checkout. Gift cards must be bought for at least $5, and with more than $1,000 in Raise Cash on hand you have to redeem some before earning more. | Posted to the Raise account when the gift card is bought, and rescinded if that purchase is refunded or cancelled for any reason. |

Cash back goes pending, then confirmed once the retailer reviews the order, then payable once the retailer's network is invoiced. TopCashback prints an estimated payout speed on each merchant's page. |
Does Amazon have its own cashback or rewards program?
Not in the way the question usually means. There's no Amazon points balance that grows with every order, and Prime, the thing most people would guess first, is a paid membership rather than a rewards program. Amazon's Prime page prices it at "$14.99/month (plus tax)" or "$139 per year", with cheaper plans for 18-to-24-year-olds, students and people on qualifying government assistance source. What you get for that is delivery, streaming, Prime Day and the rest of the benefits list; nothing on that list pays you a percentage of what you spend. So if you're a Prime member wondering whether you're already earning something on Amazon orders without knowing it, you aren't, and that's exactly why a portal click or a Fluz gift card is worth the extra step here.
Where Amazon does pay a percentage, it does it through a credit card, and the numbers are worth knowing because they're the bar every portal on this page has to clear.
- Prime Visa. Chase's card page says it plainly: "Earn unlimited 5% back at Amazon.com, Audible.com, Whole Foods Market, and on Chase Travel purchases with an eligible Prime membership, unlimited 2% back at gas stations, restaurants, and on local transit and commuting (including rideshare), and unlimited 1% back on all other purchases", with an annual fee of $0 source. The rewards spend at Amazon: "Redeem as soon as the next day for millions of items at Amazon.com" source.
- Amazon Visa, if you're not a Prime member. The same card without the membership requirement, at "unlimited 3% back at Amazon.com, Audible.com, Whole Foods Market, and on Chase Travel purchases", the same 2% and 1% tiers, and the same $0 annual fee source.
- Prime Store Card and Prime Secured Card. Amazon's credit cards page lists both alongside the Visa, with the note "Eligible Prime membership required" source. Their rates sit behind a sign-in on Amazon's side, so we don't quote them here.
Two more Amazon features get mistaken for cashback, and neither is. Shop with Points is a way to spend rewards, not earn them: Amazon describes it as "the ability to use points or rewards from participating rewards programs for purchases at Amazon.com", and the participating list runs from Amazon Visa Rewards and Amazon Store Card Rewards to Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, Capital One rewards and Discover rewards source. Subscribe & Save is a discount: "up to 15% off your essentials", with the top of that range for orders "receiving 5 or more products in one auto-delivery to one address", and "Shipping is always free" source. It matters on this page because a subscription is exactly the kind of order the portals exclude, which the next two sections get into.
What Amazon cashback stacks with
The short version: a Prime Visa or any other card's rewards stack with everything, Rakuten's offer is particular about where a promo code came from and won't pay on an order you paid for with a gift card, and Fluz is a gift card, so it sits on the other side of that line. Amazon's own promo code rules apply underneath whichever route you take. The table has each source's wording so you can check the layer you actually care about.
| Layer | Stacks with portal cashback? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon promo codes | Depends where the code came from | Rakuten excludes "Purchases made with vouchers or promo codes not featured on our platform", so a code from anywhere but Rakuten's own Amazon page costs you the Rakuten cashback source. TopCashback goes the other way and invites it: "check this page for any available Amazon promo codes and deals so that you can stack them with your Cash Back rewards" source. On Amazon's side, a code applies only to items sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services, not third-party sellers "even if 'fulfilled by Amazon.com' or 'Prime Eligible'", and an offer "may not be combined with other offers" source. |
| Clipped coupons | Not named by Rakuten, TopCashback or Fluz | Amazon's coupon-book coupons aren't codes you type, and none of those three pages mention them. Rakuten's "vouchers" wording is the nearest thing and the page doesn't define the word, so we don't call this a yes. Amazon's own coupon terms limit coupons to "products shipped and sold by Amazon.com and not on products sold by third-party sellers" source. |
| Subscribe & Save and Prime fees | No at Rakuten; TopCashback has a separate page | Rakuten lists "Subscriptions" first in its not-available list source. TopCashback's Amazon page sends you elsewhere: "For Cash Back on Amazon Prime memberships and Music Unlimited subscriptions, please visit the Amazon Subscriptions page" source, and that page carries the note "You will only earn cash back in selected departments at Amazon" source. Amazon adds that promo codes "may not be applied toward the purchase of gift cards, sales tax, Prime membership fees, gift wrap charges, or additional shipping costs" source. |
| Prime Visa and other card rewards | Yes, always | Your issuer pays on the charge and the portal pays on the tracked order; neither one knows about the other. With a Prime Visa that's the 5% at Amazon.com on top of whatever the portal pays source. Fluz says the same about its own cashback: it "stacks with other rewards programs, so you can layer this cashback on top of Prime benefits or credit card points you already earn" source. One caution if you hold the Prime Visa: Chase's 5% is for purchases "at Amazon.com", and a Fluz gift card is bought from Fluz, so don't count on the 5% tier for that charge. |
| Gift cards, including the Fluz card | No at Rakuten | Rakuten excludes "Any gift card, voucher, or store credit purchase" and "Any gift card or voucher redemption" source. A Fluz Amazon card is an Amazon gift card (Fluz lists the issuer as Amazon) and goes in at checkout under "Gift Cards, Vouchers & Promotional Codes" source, so Rakuten's offer and Fluz are a pick-one. TopCashback's Amazon page shows no exclusion list to a logged-out reader, so we don't claim its answer either way source. |
| Shop with Points | Not named by Rakuten, TopCashback or Fluz | Paying with points is a payment method at Amazon's checkout: "select the credit card associated with your rewards program at checkout" and toggle the points on source. None of those three pages mentions it in its Amazon terms, so there's no wording to stand on. If the cashback matters more than the points on a given order, pay with the card and keep the points for another day. |
| Amazon's own rewards program | Nothing to stack | There isn't one (see above). Prime is a membership, and the cards are two rows up. |
| A second portal | Never | Amazon credits one tracking click per order, the last one before checkout, and Rakuten's offer only counts orders "through the Rakuten browser extension or the Rakuten App" in the first place source. The pillar guide explains why two clicks earn at one portal at most. |
Amazon cashback exclusions and what breaks tracking
The thing to know before any list: Rakuten's Amazon offer is for new members only, and Amazon isn't a Rakuten partner at all. Everything else on this page is smaller than that.
- Rakuten's offer, in full. The page heads its terms "NEW MEMBER AMAZON OFFER" and keeps them short: "Earn $5 Cash Back on each of your first 3 eligible Amazon orders through the Rakuten browser extension or the Rakuten App. Purchases must be made within 60 days of signing up" source. So the ceiling is three payments, on your first three orders, inside your first two months as a member. If you've been a member for years, there's nothing here for you, and it's better to know that now than after the order. The page also says outright: "Amazon is no longer affiliated with Rakuten and does not sponsor or endorse Rakuten services" and "Amazon is not a partner of Rakuten and any Cash Back offers are provided by Rakuten only" source. Amazon orders also "do not count toward purchases for any other bonus offers, promotions, or incentives, including without limitation, Welcome and Referral Bonuses".
- What Rakuten won't pay on, even inside the offer. Its not-available list: "Subscriptions", "Digital purchases", "Any gift card, voucher, or store credit purchase", "Any gift card or voucher redemption", "Purchases made with vouchers or promo codes not featured on our platform", "Purchases made with Add to Delivery with Amazon Prime, Auto Buy, or Rufus AI", and anything through Amazon Pharmacy, Amazon Health or the Amazon FSA/HSA Store source. "Digital purchases" isn't defined on the page; read it as anything that arrives on a screen rather than at your door. The Add to Delivery, Auto Buy and Rufus line covers orders placed through Amazon's own shortcuts rather than a fresh checkout you clicked through to, so if you let Amazon reorder for you, those orders are outside the offer.
- TopCashback is a devices page. The page is titled "Amazon Devices" and says "Some items that are eligible for Cash Back include Kindle E-Readers, Fire Tablets, Ring Doorbells and more" source. It shows no rate to a logged-out reader, which is why the table above says "Rate not published", and its terms-and-exclusions section is empty until you sign in. Every order sits as "In Progress" "until Amazon confirms that it's eligible for your Cash Back rebate" source, so if what you bought isn't a device, don't plan on that In Progress line paying out. Prime memberships and Music Unlimited are on a separate Amazon Subscriptions page, which pays "only ... in selected departments at Amazon" and shows no rate logged out either source.
- Price.com. "Cash back and coupons are not currently available for Amazon" source. That's the whole page.
- Fluz's card limits. Cards run from $10 to $500, are "United States only", and are "Non-refundable" and "Non-reloadable" source. Those last two matter together: buy a $200 card for a $180 order and the $20 stays in your Amazon account, since "Any unused Amazon.com Balance will remain associated with your Amazon.com account" source. Fine if you shop Amazon every week, a small loss of flexibility if you don't. On a return, "the funds will be refunded to a gift card with that merchant" source, so a returned Fluz-paid order comes back as Amazon balance, not cash to your card.
- Amazon's gift card rules, which the Fluz route inherits. Your balance "cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards, prepaid open loop cards, or certain third-party gift cards", gift cards can't be "used for payment outside of www.amazon.com or its affiliated properties", and neither can be spent "at any Amazon-affiliated property outside of the United States" source. "If a purchase exceeds your Amazon.com Balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method" source, which is how a $500 card and a $520 order still work. Balances from cards issued after October 1, 2005 don't expire, and "No fees apply to Gift Cards" source. Fluz's page says the cards are "redeemable in-store and online"; Amazon's own terms name only www.amazon.com and its affiliated properties, so we'd plan on online.
- Third-party sellers. None of the portal pages quoted here draw this line, but Amazon's promo codes and coupons both do: they apply only to items sold by Amazon.com, "even if 'fulfilled by Amazon.com' or 'Prime Eligible'" source source. If you're combining a code with a portal click, check the "sold by" line on the product page before you count on the code.
- Returns and timing. Rakuten posts Amazon cashback fast: "Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account today" source. TopCashback says a tracked order appears "within 7 days of your purchase" and then holds it "until the retailer's return period is over (because any items that are returned will disqualify your Cash Back)" source. Its Amazon page doesn't state a missing-cashback claim window, so if a TopCashback order hasn't shown up after a week, file the claim then rather than waiting for a deadline the page doesn't give you. Amazon's coupon terms add a return wrinkle of their own: "If you return any of the items purchased with a coupon, the coupon discount or value may be subtracted from the return credit" source.
What breaks tracking at any store, Amazon included (the pillar guide has the portals' own wording on each):
- A second coupon or cashback extension that fires after the one you're earning with, so its click is the last one Amazon sees.
- Starting on one device and finishing on another, including clicking through on a laptop and buying in the Amazon app. The click has to happen where the checkout happens.
- Ad blockers and cookie blocking, which can stop the tracking cookie from being set at all.
- Items already in the cart before the click. None of the Amazon pages state the empty-cart rule outright, but nothing about the mechanism differs, and Amazon carts tend to carry things for weeks.
- A return, an exchange or a cancellation, which reverses the commission the cashback was going to be paid from.

How these Amazon numbers were produced
- Read directly from each portal's own merchant page, never copied from another comparison site.
- A rate we could not read is reported as unread. It is never converted into a zero, and a failed check never overwrites a previously good number.
- "Up to" and new-customer-only rates are labelled as such and are not allowed to win the top spot over a lower rate that everyone actually gets.
Amazon cashback FAQ
Which portal pays the most for Amazon cashback right now?
Fluz, at 3%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.
How long does Amazon cashback take to pay out?
On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Amazon, which mostly tracks Amazon's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Amazon's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.
- Fluz: Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought. Payout: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.
- RebatesMe: Cash back becomes available after the 90-day return window.
- GoCashBack: It can take up to 120 days for cash back to become available. Payout: On request. A payment request is processed within 7 to 14 business days.
- MaxRebates: Pending for 90 days to cover store return policies, cancellations and commission collection; it often takes up to 90 days for cash back to become payable, depending on the product and the merchant. Payout: On request, once the cash back is payable. A PayPal payout should arrive within 7 to 14 business days.
- Lolli: Rewards become available once each retailer's confirmation period has passed, typically 90 days after the purchase or completed travel reservation. It can take up to 90 days. Payout: On request, once the balance is available.
- Rakuten: 3 to 14 weeks for online and in-store purchases; 45 to 120 days for travel. Payout: Every three months: February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15.
- BeFrugal: Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. Store pages say cash back is typically available for payment 15 to 60 days after purchase. Payout: On request. Most payouts are sent on the next business day after the request.
- CouponFollow: Pending for up to 60 days, to ensure a purchase isn't returned or refunded. Payout: Monthly: paid on the 25th to the linked PayPal account, arriving by month end; rewards earned on or after the 25th roll to the next month.
- Extrabux: Usually tracked within 1 to 7 days of purchase, then held through a 90-day window for returns or cancellations at most stores before it becomes available. Payout: On request. Requests are processed within 3 business days; PayPal and eGift cards typically land within 24 to 48 hours after that, ACH takes about 5 business days, and a check 1 to 2 weeks by post.
- Mr. Rebates: Rebates post to Pending within 1 to 3 business days of the order or ship date, then stay Pending for 90 days from the posting date before moving to Available. Payout: On request, once $10 in Available Rebates has accrued.
- Raise: Posted to the Raise account when the gift card is bought, and rescinded if that purchase is refunded or cancelled for any reason. Payout: Posted on each gift-card purchase. Raise Cash expires 180 days after the day it was earned.
- Sunshine Rewards: Earnings should post within 10 days. Sale credits are then held: 28 days per the help page, 21 days from the date of purchase per the terms page. Payout: Twice a month, on request: a cashout requested from the 1st through the 15th is paid on the 15th of the next month, and one requested from the 16th through the last day is paid on the last day of the next month.
- TopCashback: No fixed window. Cash back goes pending, then confirmed once the retailer reviews the order, then payable once the retailer's network is invoiced. TopCashback prints an estimated payout speed on each merchant's page. Payout: On request, once the cash back is payable. Adding bank, PayPal or Venmo details puts a 72-hour hold on the account first.
Is there a minimum payout?

- TopCashback: None for PayPal, Venmo or bank transfer; some gift cards have one.
Does Amazon cashback work in the Amazon app?
Not the click-through kind, as far as Rakuten's and TopCashback's pages say. Rakuten's offer counts orders made "through the Rakuten browser extension or the Rakuten App" source, and the Amazon app is neither; the click has to happen in the browser or app that checks out. TopCashback's Amazon page doesn't mention the Amazon app at all source. Fluz is the exception because it's a payment, not a click: its page gives redemption steps for online and in-app, and the card goes in at checkout under "Gift Cards, Vouchers & Promotional Codes" source, the same field Amazon's own help describes for promo codes source. So if you live in the Amazon app, Fluz is the route that fits how you actually shop.
Can I use an Amazon promo code and still get cashback?
At Rakuten, only a code from Rakuten's own Amazon page: "Purchases made with vouchers or promo codes not featured on our platform" are excluded source. At TopCashback, yes, and it says so: "check this page for any available Amazon promo codes and deals so that you can stack them with your Cash Back rewards" source. With Fluz, the code and the card go in the same checkout box, and nothing on Fluz's page limits codes source. Amazon's rules sit under all three: a code "can only be redeemed at the time you place an order", goes in "the Gift Cards and Promotional Codes section" at checkout, and you "can't use the Buy Now shopping method when redeeming a promotional claim code" source. It works only on items sold by Amazon.com, is "limited to one per customer and account", and "may not be combined with other offers" source.
Can I get cashback on my Prime membership?
Not through Rakuten, which excludes "Subscriptions" source. TopCashback has a page for exactly this: its Amazon page points to "the Amazon Subscriptions page" for "Amazon Prime memberships and Music Unlimited subscriptions" source, and that page carries the caveat "You will only earn cash back in selected departments at Amazon" and shows no rate logged out source, so read it signed in before you count on it. On Amazon's side, promo codes can't go toward "Prime membership fees" source, but Shop with Points can: "Redeem your points to pay for your Prime membership today" source. If you're paying for Prime anyway and hold a card with Shop with Points, that's the one route with Amazon's own wording behind it.
Is there a minimum order for Amazon cashback?
At Rakuten, none is stated: the offer pays "on each of your first 3 eligible Amazon orders" and leaves it there source. Because the offer is a flat amount, a $15 order and a $250 order earn the same, which is why it favors smaller baskets. Fluz cards start at $10 source, so that's the floor on that route, and TopCashback's Amazon page sets no minimum source. The limits run the other way too: a Fluz card tops out at $500 source, and Amazon's own promo terms note that "taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges do not apply when determining the minimum purchase amount" on any offer that has one source. Payout minimums are per portal, in the questions above.
