Etsy Cashback: Every Portal's Rate, Compared
The best Etsy cashback we found is 5% at Fluz, read from Fluz's own Etsy page.

How to get Etsy cashback, step by step
- Open Fluz's Etsy page and buy a gift card for the amount of your Etsy order. The rate as we last read it was 5%. Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought.
- Pay for your Etsy order with that gift card, the same way you'd use any Etsy gift card.
- Buy only what you'll spend. The cashback is paid when you buy the card, and a card balance you never use is money parked at Etsy, not savings.
- Get paid. Fluz pays by: Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. Minimum: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. Timing: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.
Getting paid, portal by portal
Each portal's own help pages, as written there. The source link on each row goes to the page it came from. These are the portal's terms, not Etsy's.
| Portal | Paid by | Minimum | Confirmation window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fluzsource | Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. | $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. | Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought. |
| Rakutensource | Big Fat Check by mail, PayPal, American Express Membership Rewards points, or Bilt. A confirmed balance of $5.00 or more can also be redeemed as a gift card within minutes. | $5.01 in confirmed cash back before the payment date; $5.00 or less carries over to the next one. | 3 to 14 weeks for online and in-store purchases; 45 to 120 days for travel. |
| Price.comsource | Debit card deposit, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, gift cards, a donation to charity, or crypto. | $10 per withdrawal, with a $500 cap per withdrawal and per day. | Typically 30 to 90 days: pending until the retailer confirms the purchase and its return period ends. |
| Extrabuxsource | PayPal, eGift cards, ACH bank deposit (US only), check (US only), or a donation to a charity. | $10 available balance, with at least one confirmed purchase carrying more than $1 in available cash back. | Usually tracked within 1 to 7 days of purchase, then held through a 90-day window for returns or cancellations at most stores before it becomes available. |
| Raisesource | Raise Cash, posted to your Raise account each time you buy a gift card. It's redeemed at checkout on Raise toward any gift card or other product Raise sells, and Raise's catalogue includes a Prepaid Mastercard. Raise doesn't offer cash distribution, bank transfers or PayPal transfers. | None to redeem; Raise applies it at your next checkout. Gift cards must be bought for at least $5, and with more than $1,000 in Raise Cash on hand you have to redeem some before earning more. | Posted to the Raise account when the gift card is bought, and rescinded if that purchase is refunded or cancelled for any reason. |
| RebatesMesource | PayPal, credit card, Alipay, check or gift cards. | $10 in available cash back, not counting bonuses. | Cash back becomes available after the 90-day return window. |
| BeFrugalsource | Check, PayPal, direct deposit, Venmo, Zelle or an eGift card. Check and direct deposit are US only. | $0.01 for PayPal or direct deposit; $25 for a check. | Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. Store pages say cash back is typically available for payment 15 to 60 days after purchase. |
Does Etsy have its own cashback or rewards program?
Yes, Etsy Insider, a real buyer membership program, plus a separate buyer-protection guarantee called Etsy Purchase Protection. Etsy's own help center refused every path tried this session (HTTP 403 on curl and on WebFetch), so both are documented here from what two portals' own editorial independently confirms rather than from Etsy's own page.
- What Etsy Insider actually pays. Rakuten's editorial: "Etsy's buyer membership program offers savings of up to $6 in shipping costs on U.S. domestic orders over $15, 5% back in Etsy credit on every purchase excluding tax and shipping, and access to member-only offers." source. Rakuten frames it plainly: "Etsy Insider adds recurring value for frequent shoppers." source.
- Purchase Protection, confirmed by two portals with complementary detail. Rakuten: "Etsy says qualifying orders can receive a full refund if an item arrives damaged, doesn't arrive at all, or is not as described, which is one of the platform's clearest buyer benefits." source. Price.com adds the dollar cap and a trigger Rakuten doesn't mention: "Etsy provides a Purchase Protection program for qualifying orders up to $250. If an item arrives late, is damaged, fails to arrive, or differs significantly from the seller's listing description, buyers can open a case through Etsy to receive a full refund." source.
- Payment flexibility, since Etsy is a marketplace of independent shops. Rakuten: "Etsy says many sellers support major payment methods such as credit and debit cards, Etsy gift cards and credits, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Klarna options, giving buyers more ways to complete a purchase." source. Price.com's editorial explains why that varies shop to shop: "Because Etsy is a marketplace composed of independent shops, shipping fees, processing times, and return policies are set directly by each seller." source.
Put together: Insider is a real paid-attention membership with a shipping credit and a flat percentage back in store credit, and Purchase Protection is a separate refund guarantee rather than a rewards mechanism. Neither is portal cashback, so a portal click stacks with both, subject to the exclusions below and the real limits on which portals carry Etsy at all.
What Etsy cashback stacks with
The short version: Rakuten and Price.com both pay; TopCashback does not carry Etsy at all, confirmed by its own search turning up nothing but an unrelated tool that mentions Etsy in its description. Fluz sells a real Etsy-branded gift card here.
| Layer | Stacks with portal cashback? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Earning Etsy Insider's 5% credit | Yes | Credit posts from Etsy's own system; neither Rakuten's nor Price.com's exclusions suggest a tracked click interferes with earning it. |
| Paying with Etsy Credit earned through Insider | Not named by either portal | Rakuten's exclusion is specifically about buying a gift card, "the purchase of gift cards" source, which doesn't clearly cover spending Insider's store credit on a later order. Price.com's only stated exclusion is unauthorized promo codes source. Treat a credit-funded order as untested rather than assume it's safe or void. |
| TopCashback | Doesn't carry Etsy | Its own store search for "etsy" returns nothing but an unrelated listing tool that happens to mention Etsy in its description, no Etsy merchant page at all source. |
| Buying a gift card, including the Fluz card | No, at Rakuten by name; the Fluz card is a genuine Etsy card here | Rakuten excludes "the purchase of gift cards" source. Price.com's exclusions don't mention gift cards specifically source. Fluz's Etsy card really is Etsy-branded: "Card issuer Etsy" source, redeemable "Online" only source for $15 to $500, so buying one and clicking through Rakuten on the same order is one route or the other. |
| A seller buying their own shipping labels | No, at Rakuten by name | A narrower exclusion worth knowing if you also sell on Etsy: "shipping labels purchased by Etsy sellers for product fulfillment" source don't earn Cash Back either, a seller-side purchase rather than a buyer one. |
| A second portal | Never | Only one tracking click gets credit; the pillar guide explains why the last click wins. |
Etsy cashback exclusions and what breaks tracking
Rakuten's exclusion list is short and specific; Price.com's is even shorter and names only promo codes.
- Rakuten's exclusions. "Cash Back is not available on the purchase of gift cards and shipping labels purchased by Etsy sellers for product fulfillment." source. Posting: "Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account today." source.
- Price.com's exclusions. "Cash Back is not available on purchases made using unauthorized promo codes." source. Its own FAQ restates the same rule: "Using unauthorized promo codes will disqualify a purchase from earning cashback." source.
- TopCashback doesn't carry Etsy, so it has no exclusions to state. A direct fetch of its Etsy URL redirects to a generic "Marketplace Cash Back" category page source rather than an Etsy-specific one, and TopCashback's own merchant search for "etsy" returns no Etsy listing source.
What breaks tracking at any store, Etsy included (the pillar guide has the portals' own wording on each):
- A second coupon or cashback extension that fires after the one you're earning with, so its click is the last one Etsy sees.
- An unauthorized promo code, one not issued directly by the portal you're using, at Price.com by name.
- Buying a gift card, at Rakuten by name.
- A seller buying their own shipping labels for fulfillment, at Rakuten by name, a different case from a buyer's own order.
- A return, a cancellation, or an Etsy Purchase Protection refund, which reverses the commission the cashback was going to be paid from.

How these Etsy numbers were produced
- Read directly from each portal's own merchant page, never copied from another comparison site.
- A rate we could not read is reported as unread. It is never converted into a zero, and a failed check never overwrites a previously good number.
- "Up to" and new-customer-only rates are labelled as such and are not allowed to win the top spot over a lower rate that everyone actually gets.
Etsy cashback FAQ
Which portal pays the most for Etsy cashback right now?
Fluz, at 5%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.
How long does Etsy cashback take to pay out?
On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Etsy, which mostly tracks Etsy's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Etsy's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.
- Fluz: Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought. Payout: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.
- Rakuten: 3 to 14 weeks for online and in-store purchases; 45 to 120 days for travel. Payout: Every three months: February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15.
- Price.com: Typically 30 to 90 days: pending until the retailer confirms the purchase and its return period ends. Payout: On request, once the cash back is approved.
- Extrabux: Usually tracked within 1 to 7 days of purchase, then held through a 90-day window for returns or cancellations at most stores before it becomes available. Payout: On request. Requests are processed within 3 business days; PayPal and eGift cards typically land within 24 to 48 hours after that, ACH takes about 5 business days, and a check 1 to 2 weeks by post.
- Raise: Posted to the Raise account when the gift card is bought, and rescinded if that purchase is refunded or cancelled for any reason. Payout: Posted on each gift-card purchase. Raise Cash expires 180 days after the day it was earned.
- RebatesMe: Cash back becomes available after the 90-day return window.
- BeFrugal: Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. Store pages say cash back is typically available for payment 15 to 60 days after purchase. Payout: On request. Most payouts are sent on the next business day after the request.
Is there a minimum payout?
- Fluz: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal.
- Rakuten: $5.01 in confirmed cash back before the payment date; $5.00 or less carries over to the next one.
- Price.com: $10 per withdrawal, with a $500 cap per withdrawal and per day.
- Extrabux: $10 available balance, with at least one confirmed purchase carrying more than $1 in available cash back.
- Raise: None to redeem; Raise applies it at your next checkout. Gift cards must be bought for at least $5, and with more than $1,000 in Raise Cash on hand you have to redeem some before earning more.
- RebatesMe: $10 in available cash back, not counting bonuses.
- BeFrugal: $0.01 for PayPal or direct deposit; $25 for a check.
Does TopCashback pay cashback at Etsy?
No. A direct fetch of its Etsy page redirects to a generic marketplace category listing rather than an Etsy-specific store page, and searching TopCashback's own site for "etsy" turns up nothing but an unrelated listing tool that happens to mention Etsy in its own description source. Rakuten and Price.com both carry Etsy directly.
What does Etsy Insider actually get you?
A shipping discount and a flat percentage back in store credit, confirmed by Rakuten's editorial: "savings of up to $6 in shipping costs on U.S. domestic orders over $15, 5% back in Etsy credit on every purchase excluding tax and shipping, and access to member-only offers." source. It's a separate program from portal cashback, so a Rakuten or Price.com click still tracks on the same order; whether spending the Etsy Credit itself voids that click isn't addressed by either portal's exclusions, so treat it as untested rather than assumed safe.
How does Etsy Purchase Protection work?
It's a refund guarantee, not a rewards program. Price.com states the cap and the triggers: "qualifying orders up to $250. If an item arrives late, is damaged, fails to arrive, or differs significantly from the seller's listing description, buyers can open a case through Etsy to receive a full refund." source. Rakuten's editorial covers the same ground without the dollar figure: "qualifying orders can receive a full refund if an item arrives damaged, doesn't arrive at all, or is not as described" source. A refund through either process reverses the portal's commission on that order, the same as any other return.
Do gift cards ever earn cashback at Etsy?
Not from a portal, and the Fluz option here is a real Etsy-issued gift card rather than a workaround. Rakuten excludes "the purchase of gift cards" outright source. Fluz's Etsy card lists "Card issuer Etsy" directly source, redeemable online only for $15 to $500, so buying one and clicking through Rakuten on the same order is one route or the other, not both.
Is there a minimum order for Etsy cashback?
Neither Rakuten's nor Price.com's Etsy pages state one. Etsy's own marketplace structure means the details that would normally answer this, shipping cost and return windows, are set per shop rather than storewide: "shipping fees, processing times, and return policies are set directly by each seller" source. Rakuten posts Cash Back "automatically added to your Rakuten account today" source.
