Nordstrom Cashback: Every Portal's Rate, Compared

The best Nordstrom cashback we found is 7.5% at Fluz, read from Fluz's own Nordstrom page.

How to get Nordstrom cashback, step by step

  1. Open Fluz's Nordstrom page and buy a gift card for the amount of your Nordstrom order. The rate as we last read it was 7.5%. Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought.
  2. Pay for your Nordstrom order with that gift card, the same way you'd use any Nordstrom gift card.
  3. Buy only what you'll spend. The cashback is paid when you buy the card, and a card balance you never use is money parked at Nordstrom, not savings.
  4. Get paid. Fluz pays by: Bank transfer (ACH), PayPal or Venmo, or spent in the app on more gift cards. Without a US bank account, PayPal or Venmo. Minimum: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal. Timing: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.

Getting paid, portal by portal

Each portal's own help pages, as written there. The source link on each row goes to the page it came from. These are the portal's terms, not Nordstrom's.

Does Nordstrom have its own cashback or rewards program?

Yes, The Nordy Club, and it's a real points program confirmed on Nordstrom's own site, not just portal editorial. It's free, it stacks with a portal click, and a Nordstrom credit card earns points faster than shopping without one.

  • Earning, confirmed first-party. "Earn 1 point per dollar at Nordstrom." for a regular member, and "Earn up to 3 points per dollar at Nordstrom." for a cardholder source. The Nordstrom Visa earns outside the store too: "Earn 2 points per dollar on gas, EV charging, groceries, dining and streaming services." and "Earn 1 point per dollar everywhere else Visa is accepted." source.
  • What points are worth. "1,000 Points = $10 Note" source. Rakuten's editorial states the same ratio at a different scale: "$20 Nordstrom Note earned for every 2,000 points" source, which is the identical 100-points-per-dollar rate, corroborating rather than contradicting the number above.
  • Free to join. "Become a Member for Free" source.
  • Status tiers, and a real disagreement about what they're called. Nordstrom's own page names three: "Influencer", "Ambassador" and "Icon" source. Rakuten's editorial names four, with specific spend thresholds: "Membership tiers: Member, Insider (spend at least $500 per year), Influencer ($2,000 per year), Ambassador ($5,000 per year)" source. The two lists share only "Influencer" and "Ambassador"; Rakuten's editorial reads as the older structure (no "Icon", an extra "Insider" step), and we're not reconciling the two by guessing which is current beyond what's dated below.
  • Card perks. "Instant Influencer Status", "Early Access to Anniversary Sale", "Extra 5% Off at Nordstrom Rack" source, and a tiered alterations benefit: "Influencers: Up to $200" and "Ambassadors: Up to $300" source.

Put together: points are a store-credit balance you build for free, a card earns them faster and adds its own perks, and none of it is cash back, so a portal click stacks with all of it rather than competing.

What Nordstrom cashback stacks with

The short version: of the three portals whose Nordstrom terms this page quotes, only TopCashback pays. Rakuten's own listing reads "No Cash Back" source, and Price.com's reads "Cash back is not currently available for this store." source; check the live table above for the full current picture across every portal the site tracks. Fluz sells its own Nordstrom gift card, a separate mechanism that pays for buying the card rather than for a tracked click.

LayerStacks with portal cashback?Notes
Nordy Club points, earning themYesPoints post from Nordstrom's own system; nothing on TopCashback's Nordstrom terms names the program one way or the other source, so there's no reason to expect it interferes with a tracked click.
Nordy Club Notes, spending themNot named by TopCashbackTopCashback's Nordstrom terms don't say what happens when part of an order is paid with a Nordstrom Note, so we don't call it a yes or a no.
A Nordstrom promo codeDepends where the code came fromTopCashback excludes "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source, so the safe move is to stick to what's on TopCashback's own page.
The Nordstrom credit card and its own pointsYesIt earns its own points on the charge, separate from portal cashback on the tracked order; the pillar guide covers how card rewards and portal cashback coexist generally.
The Anniversary Sale, Half-Yearly Sale and other Nordstrom salesYesA sale price is still a price, and TopCashback's terms pay on the item price with no sale-specific exclusion source.
Nordstrom RackNot confirmedNordstrom's own card-perk copy treats Nordstrom Rack as a related but distinct storefront ("Extra 5% Off at Nordstrom Rack" source), and TopCashback's Nordstrom terms don't say whether a Nordstrom Rack order tracks the same way a nordstrom.com order does source.
Gift cards, including the Fluz cardNot named by TopCashbackTopCashback's Nordstrom exclusions name only coupon codes source, with no gift-card line either way. A Fluz Nordstrom card is a gift card (Fluz lists the issuer as Nordstrom), and since TopCashback doesn't exclude paying with one, we can't rule out a stack, but we don't turn silence into a confirmed yes either.
A second portalNeverOnly one tracking click gets credit; the pillar guide explains why the last click wins.

Nordstrom cashback exclusions and what breaks tracking

There isn't much to exclude, because only one of the three portals quoted here pays at all.

  • What Rakuten and Price.com say. Rakuten's rate line reads "No Cash Back" source, and the page runs as a coupon-and-editorial page instead, with no Nordstrom-specific exclusions to quote. Price.com: "Use tested coupons and exclusive deals to save instantly at checkout. Cash back is not currently available for this store." source, and its page lists deals, not a rate.
  • TopCashback's exclusions and terms. The only named exclusion: "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source. Terms: "Cash Back is calculated only on the item(s) price and does not include taxes, shipping or other fees." "Cash Back earned cannot exceed the total purchase amount." "To be eligible for Cash Back on all products, you must begin your purchase with an empty shopping cart." "Should your Cash Back fail to track automatically, please submit a Missing Cash Back Claim within 100 days of your order." source. Its page also carries the usual Safari warning: "With this Safari browser, we cannot guarantee that your Cash Back will track for this retailer. Please use an alternative browser on your device (e.g. Chrome) to get Cash Back." source.
  • Fluz's card limits. Cards run "from $25–$500" and are "redeemable in-store and online" source. The spec block: "Non-refundable", "Does not expire", "Non-reloadable" source.
  • What Nordstrom's own pages don't resolve. The tier-naming disagreement between Nordstrom's current page and Rakuten's older-sounding editorial, covered in the program section above, isn't something a portal page settles either; TopCashback's Nordstrom terms don't mention Nordy Club at all.

What breaks tracking at any store, Nordstrom included (the pillar guide has the portals' own wording on each):

  • A second coupon or cashback extension that fires after the one you're earning with, so its click is the last one Nordstrom sees.
  • Starting on one device and finishing on another, including clicking through on a laptop and buying in the Nordstrom app. The click has to happen where the checkout happens.
  • Ad blockers, cookie blocking, and on TopCashback's own warning, Safari.
  • Items already in the cart before the click. TopCashback states the empty-cart rule outright on its Nordstrom page.
  • A promo code from somewhere other than TopCashback's own page.
  • A return, an exchange or a cancellation, which reverses the commission the cashback was going to be paid from.

Nordstrom cashback FAQ

Which portal pays the most for Nordstrom cashback right now?

Fluz, at 7.5%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.

How long does Nordstrom cashback take to pay out?

On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Nordstrom, which mostly tracks Nordstrom's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Nordstrom's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.

Is there a minimum payout?

Does Rakuten or Price.com pay cashback on Nordstrom?

Not when we read their pages. Rakuten's listing reads "No Cash Back" source, and Price.com's reads "Cash back is not currently available for this store." source. TopCashback is the one of the three portals quoted here that does pay; check the live table above for whether Rakuten, Price.com, or another portal the site tracks has started paying since this was last read.

What is The Nordy Club, and does it cost anything?

A free points program, confirmed on Nordstrom's own page: "Become a Member for Free" source. Members earn "1 point per dollar" and cardholders earn "up to 3 points per dollar" source, worth "1,000 Points = $10 Note" source. None of that is portal cashback, so it stacks with a TopCashback click on the same order.

Do gift cards ever earn cashback at Nordstrom?

Not confirmed either way from a portal, and the Fluz card is a separate product regardless. TopCashback's Nordstrom exclusions name only coupon codes source, with nothing about gift cards, so we can't rule a Fluz-paid order in or out with real wording behind it. Fluz's own product pays for buying its "$25–$500" gift card source, which is the cashback landing at the moment of purchase rather than at checkout, so it's a source of cashback either way, on top of or instead of whatever TopCashback would pay on the same order.

Is there a minimum order for Nordstrom cashback?

TopCashback's Nordstrom page states none. It pays on the item price only: "Cash Back is calculated only on the item(s) price and does not include taxes, shipping or other fees." source. Fluz's card starts at "$25" source, the floor on that route. Payout minimums are per portal, in the questions above.
