How to get Hot Topic cashback, step by step

  1. Open Raise's Hot Topic page and buy a gift card for the amount of your Hot Topic order. The rate as we last read it was 3%. Posted to the Raise account when the gift card is bought, and rescinded if that purchase is refunded or cancelled for any reason.
  2. Pay for your Hot Topic order with that gift card, the same way you'd use any Hot Topic gift card.
  3. Buy only what you'll spend. The cashback is paid when you buy the card, and a card balance you never use is money parked at Hot Topic, not savings.
  4. Get paid. Raise pays by: Raise Cash, posted to your Raise account each time you buy a gift card. It's redeemed at checkout on Raise toward any gift card or other product Raise sells, and Raise's catalogue includes a Prepaid Mastercard. Raise doesn't offer cash distribution, bank transfers or PayPal transfers. Minimum: None to redeem; Raise applies it at your next checkout. Gift cards must be bought for at least $5, and with more than $1,000 in Raise Cash on hand you have to redeem some before earning more. Timing: Posted on each gift-card purchase. Raise Cash expires 180 days after the day it was earned.

Hot Topic cashback FAQ

Which portal pays the most for Hot Topic cashback right now?

Raise, at 3%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.

How long does Hot Topic cashback take to pay out?

On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Hot Topic, which mostly tracks Hot Topic's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Hot Topic's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.
