Newegg Cashback: Every Portal's Rate, Compared
The best Newegg cashback we found is 6% at BeFrugal, read from BeFrugal's own Newegg page.
Newegg cash back rates by portal
Every rate below was read from that portal's own Newegg page, and every row shows when we last looked. Where a rate has a catch, the catch is printed next to the number rather than underneath it.

How to get Newegg cashback, step by step
- Open BeFrugal's Newegg page and click through to Newegg from there. That click is what ties the order to your account, so start every Newegg order this way rather than from a bookmark or a search result. The rate as we last read it was 6%.
- Shop in that same tab and session. Don't leave for a coupon site and come back, and turn off any other cashback or coupon extension before you check out: the last click before the order is the one that gets credited, and another extension's click can take it.
- Check out in one go, using only codes BeFrugal itself shows for Newegg. A code from somewhere else can void the cashback on many stores.
- Wait for it to confirm. Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. Store pages say cash back is typically available for payment 15 to 60 days after purchase. Returning part of the order, or cancelling it, changes what gets paid.
- Get paid. BeFrugal pays by: Check, PayPal, direct deposit, Venmo, Zelle or an eGift card. Check and direct deposit are US only. Minimum: $0.01 for PayPal or direct deposit; $25 for a check. Timing: On request. Most payouts are sent on the next business day after the request.
Getting paid, portal by portal
Each portal's own help pages, as written there. The source link on each row goes to the page it came from. These are the portal's terms, not Newegg's.

| Price.comsource | Debit card deposit, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, gift cards, a donation to charity, or crypto. | $10 per withdrawal, with a $500 cap per withdrawal and per day. | Typically 30 to 90 days: pending until the retailer confirms the purchase and its return period ends. |
| RetailMeNotsource | PayPal or Venmo, from the RetailMeNot account. | A minimum approved balance of $5.01 is required for a redemption. | In about 45 days the cash back lands in the RetailMeNot account as redeemable. |
Does Newegg have its own cashback or rewards program?
Yes, two separate first-party programs, confirmed on Newegg's own terms page and cross-checked against two portals' editorial: EggPoints, a per-dollar points system, and Newegg+, a free shipping and service membership. They're different things and don't overlap.
- What EggPoints is for. "Newegg's Points and Rewards Program ("EggPoints Program") was hatched for you, our customers, to reward you for what you already do on our website: (1) shop for great deals, (2) actively participate in some of our promotional events ("EggPoints Promotional Rewards Events"), and/or (3) provide feedback as a loyal customer." source.
- Who's eligible. "You are eligible to participate in the EggPoints Program so long as you have a registered account on Newegg.com. Non-registered customers or "guest checkouts" are not eligible to participate." source.
- How points are earned. "you earn one (1) point for each pre-tax dollar that you spend on an eligible item after instant rebate, promo code and/or other discount. EggPoints may not be earned on purchase amounts paid with previously earned EggPoints." source. Points become usable "thirty days (30) after the invoice date." source.
- The conversion and what they can't buy. "When using or redeeming your EggPoints, one hundred (100) points are equivalent to one dollar ($1.00). EggPoints are applied after tax in the same way as when using a gift card. EggPoints can be redeemed to purchase any Newegg items and any other brands' e-gift cards, but cannot be used to purchase a Newegg e-gift card." source. Separately: "You can buy almost anything you want on Newegg.com, excluding Newegg gift cards and certain promotional items." source.
- Expiration. "EggPoints will expire one (1) year after the date they were first made available to use. If you do not redeem all your points within this time frame, you forfeit all such points. However, if you purchase any eligible item and/or participate in a Reward Event, then the expiration date for all your unused EggPoints will be extended for another one (1) year." source. They're a discount mechanism, not currency: "EggPoints are promotional, have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash." source.
- Newegg+, a separate free membership. TopCashback's editorial: "It's a free membership program that includes a variety of benefits to help you save money and time." Newegg+ members can enjoy perks like: free shipping on most items (excluding oversized and freight items), exclusive coupons and offers, member-only discounts, product warranty discounts, advanced processing on qualifying returns, and priority customer service source. Price.com's editorial names a slightly different perk set for the same program: "Newegg+ is a free membership program that offers members free domestic shipping on eligible badged items, priority customer service, expedited return processing, and access to exclusive member-only sales." source.
- The store card, a separate discount again. TopCashback: "Stretch your savings even further by applying for a Newegg Store Credit Card. Cardholders can enjoy 4% off every purchase made with the card. That's 4% you can combine with your Newegg Cash Back rewards, by the way." source.
- A real student discount, no military discount. "Newegg provides a student discount of 5% or more on eligible products. To qualify, you must currently be enrolled in college. To get started, verify your student status by updating the email address in your Newegg account with your .edu email address." source. On the other named group: "Newegg doesn't offer a dedicated military discount at the time of writing." source.
Put together: EggPoints rewards every eligible dollar spent, Newegg+ is a free perks membership with no earn rate at all, and the store card and student discount are separate coupon-style savings. None of it is portal cashback, so a portal click stacks with all of it, subject to the exclusions below.
What Newegg cashback stacks with
The short version: Rakuten, TopCashback and Price.com all pay, and Rakuten's and TopCashback's exclusion lists name the identical set of blocked coupon-code prefixes, evidence both are drawing on the same Newegg-supplied feed. Fluz sells a generic virtual card usable anywhere Mastercard or Visa is accepted, not a Newegg-branded gift card, a separate mechanism from the click-through portals.
| Layer | Stacks with portal cashback? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Earning EggPoints | Yes | Points post from Newegg's own system; none of the three portals' terms suggest a tracked click interferes with earning them. |
| Paying with EggPoints | Not named by any of the three portals | Newegg's own terms only address paying with EggPoints from Newegg's own side, "EggPoints may not be earned on purchase amounts paid with previously earned EggPoints" source, a rule about not double-dipping on more EggPoints, not about portal cash back. None of Rakuten's, TopCashback's or Price.com's exclusions mention EggPoints source source source, so treat a points-paid order as untested rather than safe. |
| The Newegg Store Credit Card | Yes, confirmed at TopCashback by name | "That's 4% you can combine with your Newegg Cash Back rewards, by the way." source. Neither Rakuten's nor Price.com's exclusions address the card either way source source. |
| The student discount | Not named by any of the three portals | Newegg's own 5%-or-more student discount source isn't addressed in Rakuten's, TopCashback's or Price.com's exclusions either way, so treat it as untested rather than safe. |
| A coupon code with a blocked prefix | No, at Rakuten and TopCashback by name | Rakuten excludes "Coupon codes that begin with the following pre-fixes:" EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC, BTE source. TopCashback's list names the identical set: "Using coupon codes that start with EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC and BTE." source. Price.com's own exclusions are broader and don't name the prefixes: "purchases made using unauthorized promo codes" source. |
| Reselling or bulk buying | No, at TopCashback and Price.com | TopCashback: "Purchases made with the intention of reselling or buying in bulk are ineligible for Cash Back and will be declined." source. Price.com's exclusions read the same idea into "gaming" and unauthorized promo codes without naming resale directly source; Rakuten's own list doesn't mention it source. |
| Gift cards, including the Fluz card | No, at all three portals; a different mechanism at Fluz | Rakuten excludes "Gift Cards" source. TopCashback excludes "Gift cards, gift certificates and building services." source. Price.com's exclusions name "gift cards, gift certificates" too source. The Fluz card here isn't a Newegg-branded gift card at all: it's a generic Fluz Virtual Card, usable "Anywhere Mastercard/Visa is accepted, including online and in-store" source, funded from a Fluz balance or linked bank account before you ever reach Newegg's checkout, a separate transaction from a portal-tracked click. |
| A second portal | Never | Only one tracking click gets credit; the pillar guide explains why the last click wins. |
Newegg cashback exclusions and what breaks tracking
All three portals exclude gift cards; Rakuten and TopCashback additionally block the same seven coupon-code prefixes by name, while Price.com's exclusions are worded more broadly.
- Rakuten's exclusions. "Cash Back is not available on:" Gift Cards, and coupon codes beginning with these prefixes: EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC, BTE source. Special terms: "Using coupon codes that are not listed on Rakuten may void Cash Back. To be safe, stick to codes provided by Rakuten." source. Posting: "Cash Back will be automatically added to your Rakuten account in a few days." source.
- TopCashback's exclusions and terms. "Gift cards, gift certificates and building services." "Using coupon codes that start with EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC and BTE." "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source. Standard terms: "Cash Back is calculated only on the item(s) price and does not include taxes, shipping or other fees. Purchases made with the intention of reselling or buying in bulk are ineligible for Cash Back and will be declined." source, and "To be eligible for Cash Back on all products, you must begin your purchase with an empty shopping cart. Should your Cash Back fail to track automatically, please submit a Missing Cash Back Claim within 100 days of your order." source.
- Price.com's exclusions and terms. "Cash Back is not available on purchases made using gaming, gift cards, gift certificates, building services or purchases made using unauthorized promo codes." source, worded here as its own item rather than qualifying anything else, so treat gaming-category purchases as excluded there rather than assume it's a typo for something else. Cap and timing: a "Max Cash Back Per Order" of "$15" source, purchases showing "pending in 1 hour" source, and Cash Back payable "in approximately 90 days" source.
- Newegg's own price-match policy, sourced to TopCashback since this session's Newegg.com fetch only reached the EggPoints terms page. "Under Newegg's current policy, if an eligible product sold and shipped by Newegg drops in price on Newegg.com within seven days of purchase, customers can request a price match. If approved, the difference is provided as a Newegg Customer Care card." source.
What breaks tracking at any store, Newegg included (the pillar guide has the portals' own wording on each):
- A second coupon or cashback extension that fires after the one you're earning with, so its click is the last one Newegg sees.
- A coupon code starting with EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC or BTE, at Rakuten and TopCashback by name, or any code not listed on the portal you're using.
- Items already in the cart before the click, at TopCashback by name.
- Buying with the intent to resell, or buying in bulk, at TopCashback by name.
- Paying with a gift card, buying one, or paying with Newegg's own e-gift card, at all three portals.
- A return, an exchange or a cancellation, which reverses the commission the cashback was going to be paid from.

How these Newegg numbers were produced
- Read directly from each portal's own merchant page, never copied from another comparison site.
- A rate we could not read is reported as unread. It is never converted into a zero, and a failed check never overwrites a previously good number.
- "Up to" and new-customer-only rates are labelled as such and are not allowed to win the top spot over a lower rate that everyone actually gets.
Newegg cashback FAQ
Which portal pays the most for Newegg cashback right now?
BeFrugal, at 6%. That's the rate a returning shopper gets, which is how the table ranks: an "up to" ceiling or a new-customer rate never takes this spot over a lower rate everyone gets.
How long does Newegg cashback take to pay out?
On a click-through portal there are two waits, one after the other: the portal has to confirm the order with Newegg, which mostly tracks Newegg's return window, and then the confirmed balance has to be paid out, which is the portal's own rule. Buying Newegg's gift card through a portal skips the first wait: that cashback is paid when the card is bought.
- BeFrugal: Verified cash back sits in the account for 30 to 90 days, set by the retailer's return policy and its payment cycle with BeFrugal. Store pages say cash back is typically available for payment 15 to 60 days after purchase. Payout: On request. Most payouts are sent on the next business day after the request.
- Active Junky: Orders stay pending until the partner store approves them. For travel and events, partners typically approve within about 3 months after the trip or event. Payout: On the 20th of each month, or the next business day when the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday.
- Fluz: Instant. The cashback lands in the Fluz balance when the gift card is bought. Payout: On request; 2 to 7 business days. Fluz charges no fee, but passes on any transfer fee it's charged.
- Hoopla Doopla: Usually posts within 10 days of purchase, then becomes yours after 90 days. Payout: Every three months. Payments go out by the end of January, April, July and October to everyone who qualifies.
- MaxRebates: Pending for 90 days to cover store return policies, cancellations and commission collection; it often takes up to 90 days for cash back to become payable, depending on the product and the merchant. Payout: On request, once the cash back is payable. A PayPal payout should arrive within 7 to 14 business days.
- Mr. Rebates: Rebates post to Pending within 1 to 3 business days of the order or ship date, then stay Pending for 90 days from the posting date before moving to Available. Payout: On request, once $10 in Available Rebates has accrued.
- Rakuten: 3 to 14 weeks for online and in-store purchases; 45 to 120 days for travel. Payout: Every three months: February 15, May 15, August 15 and November 15.
- RebatesMe: Cash back becomes available after the 90-day return window.
- TopCashback: No fixed window. Cash back goes pending, then confirmed once the retailer reviews the order, then payable once the retailer's network is invoiced. TopCashback prints an estimated payout speed on each merchant's page. Payout: On request, once the cash back is payable. Adding bank, PayPal or Venmo details puts a 72-hour hold on the account first.
- Extrabux: Usually tracked within 1 to 7 days of purchase, then held through a 90-day window for returns or cancellations at most stores before it becomes available. Payout: On request. Requests are processed within 3 business days; PayPal and eGift cards typically land within 24 to 48 hours after that, ACH takes about 5 business days, and a check 1 to 2 weeks by post.
- ShopBack: Pending within 48 hours of checkout, then Confirmed once the partner store's claim time has been fulfilled: usually a few weeks for retail, after trip completion for travel. Payout: On request. Typically processed within 10 calendar days (up to 30 in some cases), with a $300 daily withdrawal limit.
- CouponFollow: Pending for up to 60 days, to ensure a purchase isn't returned or refunded. Payout: Monthly: paid on the 25th to the linked PayPal account, arriving by month end; rewards earned on or after the 25th roll to the next month.
- GoCashBack: It can take up to 120 days for cash back to become available. Payout: On request. A payment request is processed within 7 to 14 business days.
- MyPoints: No confirmation window we have verified. Payout: On redemption. Some rewards are delivered immediately; others may take up to 10 business days to process.
- Price.com: Typically 30 to 90 days: pending until the retailer confirms the purchase and its return period ends. Payout: On request, once the cash back is approved.
- RetailMeNot: In about 45 days the cash back lands in the RetailMeNot account as redeemable. Payout: On request, once the cash back is approved in the account.
Is there a minimum payout?
- BeFrugal: $0.01 for PayPal or direct deposit; $25 for a check.
- Active Junky: None stated for the monthly payout. Cashing out early as a gift card takes $5.01 in approved cash back.
- Fluz: $15 in lifetime earnings once, then $1 per withdrawal.
- Hoopla Doopla: $5.00 in approved cash back per period, for PayPal, Venmo and paper checks alike. A balance under that carries over to the next period.
- MaxRebates: $10.00 per payment, with a $2,000.00 maximum.
- Mr. Rebates: $10 in Available Rebates.
- Rakuten: $5.01 in confirmed cash back before the payment date; $5.00 or less carries over to the next one.

- MyPoints: At least 480 available Points to redeem (MyPoints blog, 2019).
- Price.com: $10 per withdrawal, with a $500 cap per withdrawal and per day.
- RetailMeNot: A minimum approved balance of $5.01 is required for a redemption.
What's the difference between EggPoints and Newegg+?
Different mechanisms entirely. EggPoints is a per-dollar earn: "you earn one (1) point for each pre-tax dollar that you spend on an eligible item" source, redeemable at "one hundred (100) points are equivalent to one dollar ($1.00)" source. Newegg+ has no earn rate at all; it's a flat membership with shipping and service perks, "a free membership program that includes a variety of benefits to help you save money and time" source. Neither one is portal cashback, and neither is addressed by name in any of the three portals' exclusion lists, so both stack with a tracked click.
Do EggPoints expire, and can I cash them out?
They expire, and no, they're not redeemable for money. "EggPoints will expire one (1) year after the date they were first made available to use." source, though a new qualifying purchase or reward event resets that year. Directly on the cash-out question: "EggPoints are promotional, have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash." source.
Does portal cashback still work if I use a coupon code?
Depends entirely on where the code came from and which portal you're using. Rakuten and TopCashback both void Cash Back on the same seven coupon-code prefixes by name, EMC, EMP, NAF, DYN, MBLN, B2BEMC and BTE source source, and TopCashback separately excludes "Use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback." source. Price.com's own exclusions block "unauthorized promo codes" without naming specific prefixes source. A code listed on the portal you're clicking through is the safe move at all three.
Do gift cards ever earn cashback at Newegg?
Not from a portal, and the Fluz option here isn't a Newegg gift card in the first place. All three portals exclude gift cards by name: Rakuten's "Gift Cards" source, TopCashback's "Gift cards, gift certificates and building services" source, and Price.com's "gift cards, gift certificates" source. Fluz's Newegg page sells a generic virtual card instead, usable "Anywhere Mastercard/Visa is accepted, including online and in-store" source, funded before you reach Newegg's checkout, which is a different transaction from a portal-tracked click and doesn't stack with one on the same order. Separately, Newegg's own EggPoints can't buy Newegg's own e-gift cards either: "excluding Newegg gift cards and certain promotional items." source.
Is there a minimum order for Newegg cashback, and is there a cap?
None of Rakuten's, TopCashback's or Price.com's Newegg pages states a minimum order. Price.com does cap the payout per order: "Max Cash Back Per Order: $15" source. Posting speed differs: Rakuten adds Cash Back "in a few days" source, while Price.com shows a purchase "pending in 1 hour" with Cash Back payable "in approximately 90 days" source. Newegg's own EggPoints, separately, become usable "thirty days (30) after the invoice date" source.
